Stephen began his digital marketing journey in 1999 by creating a website for his coffee shop. When his website didn’t appear in any search engines of the time, he went deep into the rabbit hole of Search Engine Optimization and hasn’t looked back since.
Stephen has extensive experience both in-house and with agencies supporting marketing efforts for DTC, B2C, and B2B companies to drive traffic, leads, and ecommerce conversions to deliver meaningful business impact, building strategies to improve customer acquisition, build brand awareness, and improve engagement and retention. He has worked with renowned brands in hospitality, financial services, retail, CPG, healthcare, professional services, and technology verticals. He has worked with organizations with little to no marketing support to Fortune 500 companies with extensive teams. He has developed digital strategies including online branding, SEO, local search and content strategies, leveraging market research and analytics for success.
During his 10-year tenure at Razorfish he was the National SEO Lead responsible for the strategic vision of SEO for the agency and oversight and professional development of over 30 SEO SMEs across 6 offices in North America, while continuing to deliver for clients and agency growth through businesses development activities.
Stephen has been personally awarded the Michael Kirchhoff Technical SEO award by BrightEdge, and his teams have been recognized as the Organic Team of the Year by The Drum Search Awards, Best Overall SEO Initiative Enterprise by Search Engine Land, Best Creative Collaboration in Content Marketing by Content Marketing World as well as an Innovator Award by BrightEdge.
Stephen lives in north-east Ohio with his family and enjoys live music, listening to vinyl records or just being active outdoors during his free time.
