SEO pricing will range from everything from $300 per month (and month to month contracts) to more than $25,000 per month (with 12 months paid in advance) and anything in between. Why? Well, there are many reasons, but the short answer is because different agencies carry different costs. Some agencies outsource 100% of the work (have no overhead) and may use off-shore resources which can be “hired” (contracted) full-time for as low as $300 per month.
Many agencies will stack as many as 20 projects on one individual. If you were to put 20 of the $300 projects on one individual, you can see how hugely profitable this might be for some agencies. Other agencies (such as Vizion) pay for experienced individuals to be part of their full-time team. A senior level SEO professional can make in excess of $100,000 per year. Couple that with the fact that you’re also paying for health/dental/vision insurance, training, conference attendance/travel, software, project management, etc., and you can see how those costs can add up. Some agencies are a hybrid of the two, having some in-house folks and outsourcing the “busy work”. That’s why pricing is so different.
